The Chicago Symphony Orchestra family joins the classical music community in mourning the loss of Oliver Knussen, the British composer and conductor. He died earlier today at the age of 66.

Works by Knussen have been performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Civic Orchestra of Chicago and on several MusicNOW concerts. The composer also conducted on MusicNOW, as well as Civic and CSO subscription concerts.
