On this week’s program, Michael Tilson Thomas leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor featuring violinist Nicola Benedetti. The program also includes Stravinsky’s Concerto in D for String Orchestra and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B Minor (Pathétique).  Rounding out the program, Margaret Hillis leads the Chicago Symphony Chorus in the fourth movement of Ives’ New England Holidays Symphony from a 1996 CBS recording.
