In Berkeley, Muti dedicates encore to victims of California wildfires
At the final concert of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s multi-day residency in Berkeley, Calif., Music Director Riccardo Muti dedicated an encore to those affected by the catastrophic fires in the state’s nearby Napa Valley/Bay Area regions. After performing Brahms’ Third and Second symphonies on Oct. 15, Muti and the CSO gave a special encore of Franz Schubert’s Entr’acte No. 3 from the incidental music to Rosamunde.
