Bach, Rameau and Poulenc are today’s featured composers, conducted by Harry Bicket. Harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani is the soloist in Poulenc’s touching Concert champêtre, and Esfahani goes into great detail in an interview below about the work and his own career on an instrument that isn’t featured on many concerts.
