Ahead of two concerts at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, CSO musicians fanned out to enjoy the city on their day off. Some explored the shops of Old Taipei, the city’s one-time commercial hub, lined by many buildings that retain their traditional facades. Others sought out architectural attractions or enjoyed the city’s famous night markets.
While in Taipei, the CSO and Music Director Riccardo Muti will perform two programs, the first featuring Brahms’ Symphonies Nos. 1 and 2, and the second with Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sheherazade.
