Ahead of their concluding concerts in Naples on the 2019 Florida Tour, members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra got a chance to soak up the sun and enjoy the warm weather. Then it was on to  Frances Pew Hayes Hall for the first of two concerts presented by Artis—Naples, as Music Director Riccardo Muti led the CSO in an all-Beethoven program.

This weekend’s concerts mark the first of a three-year residency for the CSO at Artis—Naples. As part of the residency, CSO musicians will participate in educational activities, organized by the Negaunee Music Institute. For this visit, CSO musicians Baird Dodge, principal second violin; John Sharp, principal cello; Li-Kuo Chang, acting principal viola, and John Bruce Yeh, assistant principal clarinet, will conduct master classes with members of the Naples Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
