Guest conductor Sir Andrew Davis leads the CSO in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Piano Concerto No. 4, both featuring soloist Paul Lewis. The program begins with Tippet’s Little Music for String Orchestra and continues with Tippet’s Praeludium for Brass, Bells, and Percussion. Rounding out the broadcast, Seiji Ozawa leads Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra from a 1967 RCA recording.
