From the CSO’s Archives: Maestro’s Choice—For All Music Lovers in These Difficult Times

In June 2018, Riccardo Muti led the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto no. 2 featuring Yo-Yo Ma, then the CSO’s Judson and Joyce Green Creative Consultant. Opening with Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, the concert concluded with Prokofiev’s Symphony no. 3. Rounding out this program, Muti leads the Orchestra in selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet from a 2014 CSO Resound release.
