This week, Neeme Järvi returns to the CSO to lead Dvořák’s Symphony No. 5 in F Major and Barber’s Cello Concerto featuring soloist Alisa Weilerstein. The program begins with Selections from The Bartered Bride by Smetana and ends with the Final Scene from Salome by Richard Strauss led by Fritz Reiner and featuring soprano Inge Borkh from a 1955 RCA recording.
