This week’s radio broadcast celebrates the new year with a program featuring conductor Juraj Valčuha and violinist Christian Tetzlaff. Valčuha leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in works by Haydn; Szymanowski; Johann Strauss, Jr.; and Richard Strauss. The program concludes with Lutosławski’s Symphony No. 3 conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
