This week, Edo de Waart leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra through John Adams’s The Chairman Dances and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8. Violin soloist Leila Josefowicz joins to perform Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto. The broadcast concludes with Brahms’s Double Concerto, conducted by Claudio Abbado and featuring cello soloist Yo-Yo Ma and violin soloist Isaac Stern.
