For the fifth stop on its European Tour 2017, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Riccardo Muti traveled to Vienna, for an open rehearsal and two concerts at the historic Musikverein. Following the open rehearsal attended by more than 300 teenage music students from partner schools of the Musikverein’s Amiddeus School Project, CSO musicians and Maestro Muti conducted a spirited Q&A session. Then the CSO and Muti returned to the Musikverein for the first of two sold-out programs, featuring works by Hindemith, Elgar and Mussorgsky.
